I was so happy to have a bakery with good and fresh bread in the neighbourhood but after a few bad buying I figure out that they cheating. I asked three times about bread freshness and the seller told me bread is baked today but when I come home to take out bread from the bag I figure out my bread is old, cold and looks like defrosted. A fourth time I chose to buy bread at a different place and never come back in this bakery. I don't like being cheated.
This place really blew me away! The borscht and pierogies were as good as my Baba's! The pastries were made with love and care! Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff were the icing on top! I highly recommend this place and I WILL be returning frequently! I've heard the cabbage rolls are perfection but have yet to try.
Fantastic pastries. Among the best in the Lower Mainland. Need to try everything else, it looks and smells absolutely wonderful. Update! Tried the Perogies/Varenyky and bean borscht with a slice of sourdough for lunch. OMG delicious! They have frozen perogies and borscht for takeout too. Better and healthier than your skip the dishes night tonight. Do yourself a favour. Visit this place for fantastic Ukrainian food and delicious pastries
Spotted this little bakery while watching the free Matthew Good concert on 6th, and on a whim, bought a loaf of their sunflower sourdough rye and a 2l bucket of the pork borscht. Both were unbelievably good. Really stellar. And all for $20! The two of us will get at least three meals out of this, so great value. Clean premises and polite staff.
This small little place offers some good Ukrainian food and bakery items. I love the sourdough rye there! It is a heavy/dense bread, but i like it. Friendly staff and good choices. They offer borscht and perogies, bread and a few pastry items.
