The slowest service ever waiting here more than 30 min for 1 client
I've been mailing packages for a long time and have never had any problems until I went to this place. The package I sent which contained photos arrived burnt and torn open. Tampering with mail is a federal offence and usually Canada post is really strict with who they hire but at this location it's mostly 7 11 employees working the counter. The girl who took my package was a 7 11 employee and spent a long time inspecting it (which was strange because there was a line up of people who where clearly in a hurry). So long I told her it was pictures and she just kind of stared at me. When the package arrived vandalized with burnt photos it had no further stamps from a post office and was wrapped in Canada post packaging with a letter of apology. Because there were no other stamps it's a sign it never got very far before the vandalism. So it happened at this location with a very curious 7 11 employee or the next location with a legit Canada post employee. Pretty suspicious. I won't be taking my chances sending mail through 7 11 employees anymore!
Today, I visited the London Place Post Office. If you're looking for a place that is as classy as the name might make it sound, I should let you down gently by telling you that this post office is actually dressed up as a 7-Eleven. Because of this, it has very good people watching. In fact, if you watch hard enough, you can watch a person try to steal food from there, as I have on multiple occasions (clarifying note: watched, not stolen). In all instances, I've intervened to advise the would-be thief to put the pilfered items back, and not once have I been stabbed in the abdomen or neck. The post office has good hours, and as far as I can tell, the latest post office hours in the area. The service and line-ups can be somewhat hit or miss, but I will admit that every letter or parcel I've ever sent from here has reached its destination, so I shouldn't really complain. Today, I didn't wait too long as there were only a few people ahead of me. The manager today was friendly and helpful. 4 out of 5 stars.
