I have lived here since the 90's and we went for the first time over Canada Long Weekend admission was free and the kids had fun in all the hands on displays. It's a very small museum almost all of the exhibits are child focused. An hour is plenty of time to see and explore the whole place. Its not somewhere you would go the spend the entire day.
Great, thoughtful kids content and programs for school trips. They value their volunteers and work them into their kids programs. Interesting ecological footprint perspective.
A minor diversion which is a good compliment to a river walk or visit to the Quay Market. A handful of exhibits highlighting the river environment and industry. Would love to see the space built out further to enhance the experience. Admission is reasonable for size of the attraction. We spent about an hour with two small kids.
Went with my 12 and 10 years old kids.. we were expecting more interactive displays.. paid for 2 hours in the parking to end up finishing the while centre in less than 20 minutes .. the stroll next to the river was nice though
A very nice place to go with kids on rainy days. The kids have several stations where they can play, explore, search, build, do craft or watch short movies. They can Even create their own play with puppets. Even I had fun, playing in the sand, "excavating" to find "lost or hidden" old tools. From the top floor you have a very nice view over the river. I think that this place needs some more activities places, interesting for kids older than 10. The City of New Westminster could improve the pay parking lot.
