Excellent quaint hotel , old style and has actual room key. Great food at the little bar beside the hotel. This hotel will be very hot in the summer months.
Clean establishment with kind employees. We went in the heat and the whole hotel was really hot! Our room had a tiny air conditioning unit, but with 12 foot ceilings it was impossible to cool the space. Ice is available, but has to be retrieved by the check in desk.
I booked a hotel for an employee who was flying to Vancouver to training in June. At the last minute the training was rescheduled. I contacted The Met and explained my situation. I was 1 hour past their 24 hour cancellation policy, therefor I was charged $151.54 cancellation fee. I understand the cancellation policy, but $151.54 is high considering the circumstances. I have cancelled with hotel chains within 24 hours in the past without an issue. I will not re-book with The Met in the future, nor can I recommend them to anyone else.
This was a great place to stay very friendly staff, rooms are good size, beds are comfy, nice large windows. It's close to a lot of places, easy to access the boardwalk for a nice stroll. The shower pressure was awesome...Now the bad No parking.The public parking is only good til 6am Street parking you have to pay all night The neighborhood parking is good from 6pm/8am
Old building with lots of charm. Small, quiet, cheap. Had no problems and was very satisfied with everything, worth every cent! Lots of things to do in the area and very reasonable staffing hours.
