Magnificent old architecture and room style! Staff couldn't okay a credit card free stay, but one of the owners did! For a 500$ deposit I was allowed to stay the one night I needed. However...it is now 4 days after check-out and I still have not received my e-transfer of 500$ back from them. They said I would get it at 2 to 4pm the day I checked out! After calling Arundel Mansion upon getting home, they contacted their staff who processes e-transfers. She had left town! I was told I would get it on Wednesday... I thought they meant the next day. Alas, Wednesday's come and gone and no e-transfer..so it'll be next week on Wednesday. I am not mad at them however!!Because of the gracious owners decision, I was able to travel to The city and spend the night!!!!!!! I know I will get me e-transfer. Thank you Arundel Mansion. I especially enjoyed the old claw-foot bath tub! I know where I am staying the next time I venture out to the city!
Nice little place that takes you back in time. It is right next to the Skytrain though and is noisy. No air conditioning, but has ceiling fans. They do have decent pricing though for the area. If you need some space (they are little suites) then this is good. Old style bedding and furniture will take you back to simpler times.
Lovely hotel! For what we paid we got a nice big suite with a full kitchen, bedroom and living room. The entire place had an adorably Edwardian feel to it. The proximity to the skytrain made travel into Vancouver shockingly easy, but also made sleeping a bit difficult due to the noise from the train. The complementary earplugs helped with this though! The fact that there were multiple great restaurants a few minutes walk away was also a definite plus!
We like vintage hotels and this one fits the bill! The downsides were negligible and go with the whole package of a one-off old building. All in all a lovely stay with accommodating hosts.
Great value. Suites are very big, clean, and charming. Staff was very nice as well. Only downside is Skytrain station is very close, so if you are sensitive to sounds while sleeping then keep windows closed/bring earplugs.
