In 2017 I paid them for a one-hour phone call consult regarding a separation agreement and uncontested divorce after my ex returned back to Canada. The lawyer was smart and gave me very good answers to all of my questions. He wanted a $5,000 retainer and was extremely open-ended about what the whole thing could cost. I asked for a ballpark and he had a hard time coming up with a narrow price range, and the high-end was extremely outrageous sounding to me as a non-lawyer. I ended up hiring a lawyer out of Hope BC who charged me a flat $1,200 for a uncontested divorce and a separation agreement to go with it. I was so glad I did not hire The Quay law lawyer and I went out of town. I called them again today regarding making a will. I asked how much would it cost. Again they would not give me a flat rate. I told the lady that was not acceptable to me. And I take my business elsewhere again. Will not call them again, even though I live nearby. That is just my personal opinion based on my experience with this Law Firm.

She is client focussed and driven to resolve matters - unlike my prior counsel who got the boot when it became quite evident his motivations. Not only did Lori take on my case mid-term but she also resolved part 1 of my case in a matter of weeks and part 2 has just been resolved with the best outcome I didn't even imagine.
