Super cool place and very nice people. Stylists are experienced and are happy to offer all the attention and advice that you need in order to get the perfect style. Great place for those of us who are geeky and introverted and want to feel comfortable at a salon for a change ;)
Finally found an excellent hair salon where the staff is friendly and very good at what they do. Julia helped me today and I must say that she did a wonderful job! She was very patient and listened very carefully to what I wanted my hair to look like and delivered exactly that. Would also recommend this place to people who want to work together with the stylists in figuring out what style might suit them.
Really good service! I love that u can play TV Games while u have to wait and the people working there are very friendly. Definitely recommend to there and get your hair done the way you like it or even ask for suggestions.
The staff here are really friendly and for fans of everything geek, the decor can't be beat! But this haircut... It's not good. I booked an appointment for a trim with Jen on September 1 and I was told the appointment would be about an hour long. Now, Jen was really nice and energetic, so I wasn't too concerned when she washed and cut my hair in about 35 minutes. But given that I have very thick, wavy/curly mid-back length hair, it was probably the fastest haircut of my life. That should've been my first clue that things weren't right. When I came in, I think I had about 3 layers that were cut on an angle. Now I have 2 layers that are cut very bluntly instead of on a flattering angle. So now my hair is VERY fluffy/poofy. All I wanted was a trim to get rid of some split ends, no change in style. Also, I told her I was going to a concert later that evening and wouldn't be going home first, so I wanted it to look nice when I left. She asked me if I wanted product in it, and I said yes, as long as it wouldn't be too crunchy. Well, it was crunch city. She didn't even dry my hair all the way before I left because apparently that would make it frizzy (other salons have dried it all the way and left it looking silky). Well, by the time it dried, it looked so bad that when my friend saw me, she asked me what I had done to it. I wanted to cry. Considering I paid $70 and I'll have to go have this fixed somewhere else, I'm not at all happy. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone with long/thick/wavy/curly hair. Sorry, I really wanted to like this place. :(
Today I went into B-Bombshell, scared to be honest. I'm not one to usually enjoy my hair being changed or touched by hair dresser's I don't personally know. I came in with such bad anxiety and it was a bit embarrassing. Thankfully the staff are amazing. Very kind and genuine. Hilary did my hair and she made me completely comfortable. She understood my worries about cutting to much and understood how I was feeling. It was a nice change from all the other salons you walk into these days, where you feel judged for even wanting a simple hair cut to make yourself feel better. So thank you so much Hilary, you made the experience enjoyable, my hair looks and feels healthy for once - I had no fears leaving (: thank you!
