I cant say enough about the team at Columbia Square Animal Hospital. Whether it be regular check-ups or emergency visits, they have always responded with personal compassion, timely responsiveness, and excellent medical care to my basset hound Chelsea, making the process of going to the vet as pleasant as possible. They are up front about their pricing and I have always found it to be reasonable. They are all very knowledgeable and helpful advocates when it comes to deciding the most appropriate treatments for Chelsea. Chelsea bear always appreciates the warm welcomes and belly rubs she gets there. We would recommend the professionals at Columbia Square Animal Hospital to anyone!

I have been going here for a few years now. I used to live close by but have since moved to White Rock and we still go here. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and they go a good job. The best part is they are good, and have amazing prices. They do not over charge our charge huge markups on prescription meds. My dog and my Fathers dog both came down with the same illness recently, I took my dog here and the total cost with 3 types of medication was $106, my father got the same medication from another place in Port Coquitlam and it cost $410. They also saved my cats life, she got into a Lilly plant and ate a bunch of the pollen. Luckily we were able to catch it right away and brought her here. she stayed over night for 2 days and she was fine. Im sure my dad will be coming here from now on, and I will always recommend this place.

They always take great care of both our cats any ye they need to go in or for their yearly check up

I took my dog here several times throughout his life. They did a good job with some things such as nail trimming, neutering and basic checkups. However, when it came to him needing their help the most they completely failed. They requested that i do various different exams, saying they didn't know what it was. I got a random call from one of the Vets asking about how my dog was doing, and to watch out for anything because what he had could be fatal - first time i was told that it could be something serious. So then i take him to the Vet again and did an exam on his stomach. They showed me that there was something off in his stomach and that it could be cancer - or could not be. They gave me medication for him, and said i needed an ultrasound to be 100% sure. Moreover, the day that i book the ultrasound, my dog was very weird and i felt like he was dying. My mother called the Vet right away, only to be put on hold and then told that the Vet was busy, and that he would call us back when he could which would be in about a half and hour. As this was an emergency, we obviously didn't wait and went to an emergency hospital that helped us out. When we found out what he really had, we found out that the Vets were completely off with their diagnosis, and the Doctors there tried everything to make him feel better. However, it was at the point of no return, unfortunately, and i had to let him go as i did not want him to be in anymore pain.

I don't know how to thank the people that work here enough. I had my sweet cat for 20 years and having to make the decision that it was time to end her suffering was one of the hardest things I've had to do in my life. On my cat Amber's last day they let me hold her and pet her for as long as I needed to say goodbye, as well as hold her during the time of euthanasia procedure and afterwards until I was ready to let go. The kindness I was shown during this difficult time was beyond normal veterinary work, I never once thought anyone was just doing their job to get paid, every single person I came in contact with was so compassionate towards myself and more importantly my little old lady. Although I wish my cat was still here, and that I'd never had to meet the team at Columbia Veterinary, I couldn't have asked for better people to help her through her final moments. I am immensely grateful for everything.
