The bus bays are scattered around surrounding streets and don't follow any logic in numbering. 9 and 10 are on opposite corners. If you haven't caught a bus here leave an extra 10 mins or more to figure out what's going on.
Busy station. There are lot of eatery places, miniso, shoppers, safeway and cibc bank in this station. The only drawback with this station is the bus terminal that is all around this station. It gets bit confusing for any person visiting first time.
Great location with a great cheap beer selection. There are smokers near the skytrain area who ruins the mood.
I love this station! Its design from each entrance of variable height to the open concept shop scheme contribute to the enjoyable architecture of this public transit station. The public access-ways appear to be designed for flow and prove this by smooth transitions from street to train and back. Some key features are the top-level east-bound compass card turnstiles which exit to an open floor. The lower floor offers a vast area of space for pedestrians to traverse whether they are switching from the east-bound to the west-bound platform or riding a mechanical ramp down to the parking lot.It is nice to have access to a variety of public shops from food to technology and some places inbetween. Some main attractions to this specific place are the Tim Horton's/Starbucks, Dynamic Health & Fitness, and a Safeway. Be sure to have a look around next time you have some extra time commuting across the city.This station also includes an apartment complex which, to me, is absolutely the coolest.
The station is situated in the heart of New Westminster downtown. Practically, the station offers direct access to some very popular stores, banks, etc. To name a few of them: Safeway, Shoppers Drug mart, Tim Horton, Starbucks, etc. This station is very close to the Fraser Quays, a very popular place for jogging or promenade. The skytrain station is the central point of intersection with the bus station. All in one place, very convenient for the customers.
